Fixed Amount Discount Codes

Gravatar

We've added fixed amount discount codes.

A fixed amount discount applies a discount to the entire order, not per item.  For example, if the fixed amount is $100 then the customer gets $100 off the order no matter how many items the customer purchases. It is not $100 per item, it's $100 per order.

This feature requires advanced ecommerce to be available and enabled on your account.

You can find these settings in your account under Commerce -> Discount codes

Framed Views Now Available in View in Room

Gravatar

We've upgraded our View in Room feature to give your site visitors the option to see the framed view of the artwork (if you've uploaded a framed view).

There is nothing you need to do to enable this except make sure you provide framed views of  your art in addition to the normal unframed views.

Here's an example of what a framed view looks like:

If you haven't uploaded a framed view, the "View" option won't display in the View in Room interface.

To add a framed view, you must add it in the "Add additional images" link on the artwork record:

Make sure you add the framed view in the correct place:

Message to seller field in shopping cart

Gravatar

We've added a field to the shopping cart that allows your purchaser to type a message to you, the seller.  This can be useful for special cases, providing additional shipping information, to let you know it's a gift or a myriad of other uses.

Here's what the customer sees in the shopping cart:

Digital Delivery URLs

Gravatar

If you sell digital art or digital products, we've added a new feature you're going to love: Digital Delivery URLs.

This feature lets you provide a web address (URL) that the purchaser will receive AFTER they purchase a product.  You can send them to a page where they can download their purchase.  This could be a page to watch a video, download a hi-res digital art file, or any other product that can be delivered digitally.

To use the feature on any artwork or product, open the "Show Advanced Commerce" area at the bottom of the artwork edit screen.

Once open, at the very bottom you'll see a new field for "Digital Delivery URL".  Add the URL you want your customers to visit to access the paid for product.

Here's what that screen looks like:

When you customer receives their purchase confirmation receipt, this digital delivery url will be included so that they may access their purchase immediately.  Here's what that looks like:

Purchase Notifications by Email

Gravatar

We have added email purchase notifications to your FASO Art Website and store.

These notifications are designed specifically for the needs of artists and you'll find them far more useful than what you'd get with a generic ecommerce platform.

When someone purchases artwork(s) from you, you will receive an email notification that contains:

1. an image of the artwork(s)

2. Links to the artworks on your website

3. The medium

4. What the purchaser paid, for each item and in total.

5. What discount codes, if any, were used.

6.  We'll let you know if FASO automatically marked the piece sold or not (we do that on original pieces if you want us to).

7. The customer's shipping address.

8. The customer's email address.

9. The paypal transaction id.

Here's what these receipts look like:

Email Receipts To Art Purchasers

Gravatar

We have added email receipts that will automatically be sent to anyone who purchases your art from your FASO website.

These receipts present a very professional image, are optimized for the needs of artists, and tell your customer very clearly  what piece(s) they purchased, where the pieces will be shipped, how much they paid and how to reach you if they have any questions.

Here is an example:

Improvements to View In Room

Gravatar

We've had feedback on our view in room feature that we needed some better, more modern example rooms.  We've added several new rooms and replaced several of the older images with more modern ones including an improved living room, an over-the-fireplace view, a corporate office, a corporate conference room, and a much improved bedroom.

There is nothing you need to do to enable this feature, it has been rolled out to all customers. It may take a few hours to take effect, or if you update something on your site (or ask support to invalidate your site cache) it can take effect immediately.  If you experience issues with these rooms, FASO Support can, temporarily, roll your account back to the older rooms.

Here are a couple of examples of some of the new rooms:

Use Images Instead of Dots to Indicate Multiple Artwork Views

Gravatar

We've added a new feature that allows you to use image thumbnails below your artwork instead of dots to indicate there are multiple views of a particular artwork.

By default our system uses Instagram style dots to indicate there are multiple views of a particular artwork.  Here's an example of what that looks like:

We've added a new feature that allows you to use ecommerce style image thumbnails instead.  Here's the same page with that feature turned on:

The following steps explain how to enable or disable that setting:

1. Login to your FASO account

2.  Click the gear settings icon in the upper right corner

3.  Click Settings

4.  Next to "Use images to indicate multiple artwork views" click "Edit:

5. Select Enabled or Disabled for the style you want and click Save:
